The
house
The house, now an oasis of comfort and beautiful interior design, is an example of a typical Norman country house. The house was the last to be built on the plot by a family that had farmed the surrounding land for several generations. For a long time, the estate was completely self-sufficient and made an important contribution to the local area, which was largely agricultural. On the ground floor, a new open-plan kitchen has been installed, complete with a long dining table and spacious storage room. Across the open hallway you will walk into spacious living area with several uniquely decorated corners where you can read a book, catch up with friends or simply relax while looking out over the spacious backyard.

We love to help, here are
some quick answers on common questions!

Should I bring my own sheets and towels?

No need to bring your own. Fresh bed linen and towels are included in your stay and will be ready for you when you arrive. We want you to travel light and settle in comfortably from the moment you step into the house.

Which appliances are available in the house?

The house is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and gas stove, along with essential cooking tools and utensils for preparing meals together. For longer stays, the house also includes a washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, and a hair dryer. The idea is simple: the house should feel easy to live in, just like your own.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the house. This helps us keep the space comfortable for all guests, including those with allergies, and ensures the house remains calm and well maintained.

Can I charge my electric vehicle at the house?

At the moment, the house does not yet have an electric vehicle charging point. However, there are convenient charging options nearby. The closest fast chargers are located at the Intermarché in Gacé, about 6 km from the house, which makes it easy to recharge during a quick stop for groceries. Additional charging stations can also be found in Vimoutiers.

Are there grocery stores nearby?

Yes, several shops are located within a short drive. You’ll find supermarkets, bakeries, and small local stores in Gacé (about 5 km away). A larger selection of shops and markets can be found in Vimoutiers (around 15 km away). Both towns are easy to reach and perfect for picking up fresh ingredients, local products, or daily essentials.

Is there Wi-Fi or a TV in the house?

Yes. The house has Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected if needed. Whether that’s checking emails, planning your next walk, doing a bit of remote work, or streaming your favourite series on the TV.

Do I need to pay a deposit when renting the house?

Yes. A security deposit of €500 is required when renting the house. This deposit will be fully returned to you after your stay, provided the house is left in good condition and no damages have occurred. The deposit simply helps us ensure the house remains well cared for so every guest can enjoy it in the same welcoming way.

The
backyard
On sunny days, you can enjoy the terraces at both the front and back of the house, each offering beautiful views and unique opportunities to admire the local fauna and flora. Recently, the former barn was transformed into a covered outdoor terrace with a heater, dining table and seating area. In short, it is the ideal place to spend a few hours daydreaming or sitting at the table chatting with your friends until late, gazing at the open starry sky.
